Representative Pat Marsh Seeks Re-Election to House
Shelbyville, TN -- State Representative Pat Marsh (R-Shelbyville) has announced that he will seek re-election to the Tennessee House of Representatives in the 62nd District. In announcing his decision, Rep. Marsh stated, “My family and I are very grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support and encouragement during this process. We are humbled by the overwhelmingly positive comments sent our way,” he continued.
“I am incredibly fulfilled serving the people of the 62nd District in the Tennessee General Assembly. This has been the greatest opportunity ever afforded to me, but there is still much work to be done to make Bedford, Lincoln, and Rutherford Counties the best possible community in the state of Tennessee,” stated Rep. Marsh.
Marsh was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2009 during a special election after Representative Curt Cobb opted to resign. Since the election, Representative Marsh has served on the influential House Commerce Committee and the House Transportation Committee, for which he is a natural fit due to his owning Big G Express, a trucking company.
“I have had the opportunity already to work on issues of importance to my district, and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know countless constituents throughout the process,” said Representative Marsh. “I appreciate the support and look forward to running for re-election later this year.”
“We appreciate Pat Marsh’s hard work for the citizens of the 62nd District. I certainly look forward to his continued great service in the House,” said Rep. Glen Casada, House Republican Caucus Chairman. “He is a man of great integrity, and the folks of the 62nd District have solid and fair representation in Pat Marsh.”
Rep. Pat Marsh serves the 62nd Legislative District which encompasses Bedford and parts of Lincoln and Rutherford Counties. He and his wife Mary are actively involved in the community, and live in Shelbyville.
